For this prosthesis I was inspired by the movie Robots, because in it we can see a big variety of types of robots: we have the rich ones, the scrap-iron, the ones that have only stolen or older parts, and so on; and each character has parts of them that gives them identity. Losing an extremity doesn't have to mean to give up on the things you love to do, or transforming your way of living.

That is why I decided to design this prosthetic leg as something modern, fancy and simple by using transparent materials and the color black. This is meant to make people that will use it feel good and proud of who they are, while at the same time it is usefull and ergonomical. 

It is meant to be a symbolic piece that represents strenght and self re-construction.
